Putting My Experience
to Work for You
In addition to my work on the UW Manitowoc and Sheboygan Campuses, I have served as a member and President of the Manitowoc Public Library Board, member of the City of Manitowoc Ethics Board, the Rahr-West Art Museum Board, the Manitowoc-Calumet Library System Board, the Manitowoc Public Library's Foundation Board, and member and chair of the McKinley Academy Board. Among my scholarly activities has be the authoring of several books (Fire Within, Black Hawk, the Spirit of the Rivers), all of which feature the life and times of many of the ancestors of our community.
I began my time as a committed Democrat by going door-to-door in the presidential campaign of Senator Eugene McCarthy and have been a part of both local and state-wide party efforts ever since. I served as chair of the Manitowoc County Democratic Party and the Sixth Congressional District, a member of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s Platform and Executive Administrative Committees, and recipient of the Manitowoc County Party’s Bill Proxmire Memorial Service Award in 2018.
Please join me in putting my experiences and your experiences to work to address the issues that are important to all of us in this community. If elected to the State Assembly, I will make sure that the voices of all of the people of the 25th Assembly District are represented and heard in Madison. I welcome your input into this journey together - please contact me to share your thoughts.
